Your private driver will collect you from your hotel or riad at approximately 8:30 AM. Leaving Marrakech, the journey climbs into the High Atlas Mountains along the Tizi n’Tichka road. After breakfast, travel across the Anti-Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tinifift Pass toward Agdez. From here, the route follows the Draa Valley, known for its palm groves, mud-brick villages and historic kasbahs. Continue through Nkob, where you can stop for lunch and admire its traditional kasbah architecture. In the afternoon, leave the busier roads and travel toward Mharech Gorge. The scenery becomes increasingly remote, with rocky plateaus, dry riverbeds and isolated Amazigh settlements.

Today is one of the most adventurous parts of your 6 days Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour. Travel by 4×4 along remote tracks formerly associated with desert rally routes. Pass desert plateaus and seasonal riverbeds before reaching the small village and oasis of Ramlia.
Continue toward the dunes of Ouzina, an isolated area visited by far fewer travelers than Merzouga. Depending on the season and road conditions, you may stop for tea with a local family or enjoy a traditional Berber pizza for lunch.
In the afternoon, arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga. Leave the vehicle and ride a camel into the dunes, stopping to watch the sunset. At the desert camp, enjoy dinner, Amazigh music and a clear view of the night sky.
