Join our unique 2 days tour from Fes and discover the desert of Merzouga in the best way. Usually, our trip starts and ends in Fes. On the first day, we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains to arrive at Ifrane the Switzerland of Morocco. We also will stop by the cedar forest and Ziz valley before arriving in the desert. We ride the camels to the camp and spend the night there. Finally, on the last take, we will drive back to Fes and make different stops on the way.
Tour itinerary:
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga:
The first day of our 2 days tour from Fes itinerary starts At 8:00 am, We will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes. Firstly, we will see “Ifrane”. Moreover, they also call it this city “Switzerland of Morocco”. Further, we will pass through the middle atlas mountains which contain the largest forests of cedar trees, that are inhabited by monkeys.
You will resume the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt. After that, you will head out to the magnificent Merzouga via Erfoud. Passing by the spectacular Ziz gorges and Errachidia where you are going to have a traditional lunch among Berber people. Next, we will continue towards Merzouga along Ziz Valley. After that, stopping for the panoramic views along the way. After all, arriving at Merzouga where they will welcome you with mint tea. Above all, you will switch to camels that will take you through the magnificent world of the sandy dunes “Erg Chebbi”. In a memorable experience on the camels, you will admire the spectacular sunset in the middle of the Sahara.
Finally, the camels will take you to our traditional well-equipped camp where you will enjoy a traditional dinner. Even more, you will be listening to a berberine music show in a friendly mood under the stars.
Day 2: Merzouga desert – Rissani – Midelt – Fes:
On the second day of our the 2 days tour from Fes itinerary, We recommend you to wake up early so you will not miss the sunrise. Moreover, breakfast will be at the camp or back at the hotel.
Firstly, drive again through the Atlas mountains, see Errachidia‘s dam of water. Also, pass through the Ziz valley with its beautiful views. For sure, your driver will stop for some pictures, then arrive at Midelt for lunch.
Eventually, passing through Ifrane, we will arrive in Fes, where our driver will transfer you to your accommodation or the airport.
