3 Days Tour itinerary from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert‘s overview:
With our 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga itinerary, you will start your tour from your accommodation at 8:00 am. You will pass through the High Atlas mountains and visit an Argan oil feminine cooperative. In addition to this, you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou or the fortress of Glaoua. Our first day of the 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert starts with picking you up from your accommodation in Marrakech. It is about tour around some of Morocco’s special destinations. The first one for today will be the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou.
On the way, you are going to experience the beauty of the Atlas mountains via the road of Tizi-n-Tichka, with an altitude of 2260m. Offering you charming views. Valleys, oasis, mountains, and Berber villages. Furthermore, we will stop by, so you can get the chance to take some great pictures.
Arriving at the world heritage site the Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou. This place belongs to one of the most important families between the 16th and 17th centuries, “the Glaoui’s family“. Also, a place that attracted many filmmakers. They shot some movies there such as ” Jesus of Nazareth “. Lunch is planned for you to enjoy it in this historical area.
Then after a quiet stay, we will resume our tour in Ouarzazate to explore one of the historical Kasbahs in the area, the Kasbah of Taourirt. In addition to this, we will visit the city of roses and its valley.
Eventually, passing by tiny Berber villages of Skoura. We will stop at Boumalne Dades, where you will enjoy a traditional dinner and spend the night at a local Riad.
Day 2: Dades valley – Todgha gorges – Merzouga:
Our second day of the 3 days tour from Marrakech itinerary, we will head over to a special destination today, the magnificent Merzouga. Passing by Tinghir, to visit Todra gorges the highest narrowest spectacular gorges in Morocco. To sum, it’s a unique place. After a quiet stay, we will continue to the famous town of Rissani where you will try the traditional Berber pizza for lunch.
Then after restoring, we will continue towards our unique destination. When arrived at Merzouga you will be welcomed by camels that will take you through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. At final, in a memorable experience on the top of the camels, you will admire the spectacular sunset in the middle of the Sahara.
Eventually, the camels will take you to our traditional well-equipped camp. Even more, you will enjoy a traditional dinner while listening to a berberine music show in a friendly mood under the stars.
Day 2: Merzouga – Tazarine – Draa valley – Marrakech:
The third day of the 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga itinerary begins After a calm relaxing night, it is recommended to wake up early so you cannot miss as spectacular sunrise in the desert.
