Morocco 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert itinerary starts at 8:00 am. You will drive from Marrakech via the road of Tizi N Tichka and arrive at Ait Ben Haddou. The latter is the largest Kasbah in Morocco and the oldest, you will explore it and drive to Ouarzazate’s Atlas studios to discover them. Not only that but also explore the Kasbah of Taourirt.

Subsequently, you will move to Boumalne dades by the roses valley, where you will probably visit one of the rose water cooperatives.

When arrived at Boumalne dades, you will be transfered to a local Riad/hotel to spend the night.

On the next day, you will drive all the way through Todgha Gorges and Erfoud to reach Merzouga desert for the came ride and the night at the camp.

After the lovely night at the Berber camp, you will visit Merzouga’s famous destinations. For example, Khamlia villages, the mines of Kohl, Baryte, and so many more things to admire.

On the fourth day, you will drive through the Anti Atlas mountains and the Berber villages of Nkob, Alnif, Agdez to arrive at Zagora desert for another camel ride and night at the camp.

DAY 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades gorges

The 5 days tour from Marrakech starts with your accommodation in Marrakech. A tour around some of  Morocco’s special destinations. The first one for today will be the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou.

On the way, you are going to experience the beauty of atlas mountains via the road of Tizi-n-Tichka, with an altitude of 2260m. Offering you charming views. Valleys, oasis, mountains, and Berber villages. Furthermore, we will stop by, so you can get the chance to take some great pictures.

Arriving at the world heritage site the Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou. This place belongs to one of the most important families between the 16th and 17th centuries, “the Glaoui’s family”. Also, a place that attracted many filmmakers. They shot some movies there such as ” Jesus of Nazareth “. Lunch is planned for you to enjoy it in this historical area.

Then after a quiet stay, we will resume our tour in Ouarzazate to explore one of the historical Kasbahs in the area, the Kasbah of Taourirt. Next, we will visit the city of roses and its valley.

Eventually, passing by tiny berberis villages of Skoura. We will stop at Boumalne Dades, where you will enjoy a traditional dinner and spend the night at a local Riad.

Day 2 day: Dades valley–Todgha gorges–Merzouga Sahara(overnight camel trek):

The second day of our 5 days tour from Marrakech starts after breakfast at the beautiful town of Boumalne, we will head over to a special destination today, the magnificent Merzouga. Passing by Tinghir, to visit Todra gorges the highest narrowest spectacular gorges in Morocco. A unique place. Recognized around the world as one of the most spectacular canyons in the world. After a quiet stay, we will continue to the famous town of Rissani where you will try the traditional Berber pizza for lunch.

Then after restoring, we will continue towards our unique destination. When arrived at Merzouga you will be welcomed by camels that will take you through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. At final, in a memorable experience on the top of the camels, you will admire the spectacular sunset in the middle of the Sahara.

Eventually, the camels will take you to our traditional well-equipped camp. There you will enjoy a traditional dinner while listening to a berberine music show in a friendly mood under the stars.

DAY 3:  Merzouga desert 4×4 tour:

5 days tour from Marrakech‘s third day starts with a pick you up from your hotel. You are going to discover the desert life and get to know the culture more. The first thing you are going to see is the national auto museum. Moreover, it’s owned by a guy from Qatar and it’s a museum of old cars.

Secondly, you are going to move to see a Berber village which they call “Khamlia“. This small village is where most of the people that immigrated from the other African countries like “Gabon” live. You will be able to try their tea and also listen to the music that they call “Gnaoua”. After you get to know their story, you will move to a very beautiful place close to the Algerian borders. Furthermore, this area is where a mine of Kohl is.

Thirdly, your driver again will take you this time to discover the life of nomads. These people are about 20km from the borders, you will get to know all the parts of their tents, also where they cook and what they use for transportation. After all your driver will show you where the best food is. Again after lunch, you will move to see the oasis, where the agriculture lands are. Besides, you will see the water system in the area. Eventually, our staff will take you to the hotel where you will relax and spend the night.

DAY 4: Erg Chebbi – Rissani – Zagora desert:

The fourth day of our 5 days tour from Marrakech begins after a calm relaxing night, we recommend you to wake up early so you will not miss as spectacular sunrise in the desert. You will enjoy a traditional breakfast, then return by camels to the hotel. Besides, you can take a shower.

Afterward, we will continue towards the gate of the desert, the city of Zagora. Secondly, pass via Tazarine and the beautiful town of Nkob. This is where you will enjoy a traditional lunch with the local people. Before continuing, on the way, we will pass by the magnificent Draa Valley.

Above all, when arrived at Zagora, you will spend the night in our well equipped traditional camp. Moreover, you will enjoy a traditional dinner around the campfire. Also, you will have the opportunity to play drums, sing some Berber music with locals.

DAY 5: Zagora desert to Draa valley then Atlas pass of Tizi-n-Tichka and then Marrakech:

The fifth day of our 5 days tour from Marrakech starts after breakfast, we recommend you to wake up early so you cannot miss the beautiful sunrise. After that we will switch back to our vehicles, so we can resume our expedition towards Draa valley. At final, when we arrive in Ouarzazate. We will explore the Atlas studios.

Next, we will head over to the world Heritage site, the Kasbah of Ait-ben-Haddou. Moreover, lunch is planned for you to enjoy it in this historical area.
